Visitor & operator access

The security of the Port of Boulogne Calais port facilities is governed by the ISPS (International Ship and Port Facility Security) code.

Access is regulated and requires prior authorization.

PROCEDURE FOR ACCESSING THE PORT OF CALAIS

The regulations governing the issue of access passes have been amended following the publication of Decree No. 2026-524 of 18 June 2026 and the publication of the two Orders of 29 June 2026 and 8 July 2026, relating to port security and security checks.

Since 1 July 2026, three types of personal access passes may be issued:

• VISITOR: occasional visit of 24 hours; 72-hour notice period for submitting the application
• TEMPORARY: valid for between 8 and 90 days over a rolling year; 10-day notice period for submitting the application
• PERMANENT: valid for more than 3 months and up to 5 years; 10-day notice period required to submit the application

Vehicle access pass: a vehicle access pass is required to access IP1101 and 1103 + a copy of the vehicle registration document.

IN CASE OF LOSS OR THEFT OF THE VEHICLE REGISTRATION DOCUMENT

Loss or theft of the vehicle registration document must be reported immediately to Reception Formalities at:

PROCEDURE FOR ACCESSING THE PORT OF BOULOGNE-SUR-MER

A port facility is subject to access control and security measures. This is the West Pier Commercial Terminal (IP 1202).

All requests must be addressed to the Site Operations and Safety Manager.
