Port Lympne Safari Park is a game reserve with over 700 animals of some 90 species, including many rare or endangered species such as black rhinos, gorillas and big cats. Howletts Wild Animal Park is a zoo and wildlife sanctuary. It is home to over 390 animals, including western lowland gorillas, African elephants, tigers, leopards, monkeys, and rare or endangered species. The park is run by the charity The Aspinall Foundation, and part of its work involves breeding animals in captivity and then, where possible, reintroducing them into the wild.
