VIIA Britanica Rail Motorway Service Growing

At the beginning of February, the rail operator VIIA, which transports unaccompanied trailers by rail, has increased the rate of the VIIA Britanica service linking Le Boulou (on the Franco-Spanish border) to the port of Calais and now operates 8 round trips a week. As the intermediate step before a gradual increase in round trips in the coming months, VIIA Britanica is now serving the port of Calais 7/7, enabling the trans-shipment of cargo bound for the United Kingdom from train to ferry or to road.

The operator plans to commission the new rail motorway line between Orbassano (Turin) and Calais in the second half of 2018.
