Warehousing & Logistics

Warehousing & Logistics

The port of Boulogne-sur-Mer is THE hub for receiving and shipping fish in Europe. It is served by the main European carriers, and most French refrigerated fish carriers have their own platform there.

Every year, 330,000 tonnes of fish and seafood are imported to Boulogne-sur-Mer from all over the world, particularly from northern European countries such as Denmark, Norway, Ireland, Iceland and the Netherlands. These products are then redistributed throughout France and to around thirty European countries in less than 24 hours.

Thanks to its bus station coupled with transport hubs, Boulogne has exemplary supply and distribution logistics.
These optimal conditions ensure smooth and efficient logistics for the site.

Exceptional cold storage capacity
Boulogne-sur-Mer has a large cold storage capacity: 300,000 m3 of floor space. These public and private warehouses offer storage space for up to 65,000 pallets.
Some warehouses are bonded, allowing various goods to transit through the port terminal under optimal conditions.

Transit is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Boulogne-sur-Mer also has highly efficient supply and distribution logistics, with a road freight terminal and private transport platforms for daily deliveries throughout Europe.
