Loading and unloading operations take place on either platform. Since it came into service in October 2021, entry and exit to the ferry terminal has been via the new port.  <\/p>\n<p><strong>It has six berths: P7, P8 and P9 in the historic port (Calais 1) and P10, P11 and P12 in the new port (Calais 2). They are equipped with double-deck gangways allowing two decks of ships to be loaded\/unloaded simultaneously.
