The security of the Port of Boulogne Calais port facilities is governed by the ISPS (International Ship and Port Facility Security) code.
Access is regulated and requires prior authorization.
PROCEDURE FOR ACCESSING THE PORT OF CALAIS
- Request for temporary access (1 day to 2 months)
A temporary travel document application form must be duly completed.
Requests must be submitted to the Formalities Desk at least 24 hours in advance for one-day access; beyond that, a minimum of 48 hours is required.
A request for access for 7 days or more will require the provision of a photo ID.
An access request for a vehicle is also required to enter the Restricted Access Zone (IP 1101) and must be accompanied by a copy of the vehicle registration document.
The vehicle access card can be collected at the earliest on the day before the first day of validity of the access card, upon presentation of a valid ID and acknowledgment of the safety awareness form that will be presented to you at the Formalities Desk.

A minimum notice period of 10 days will be required.
An access request for a vehicle is also required to enter the Restricted Access Zone (IP 1101) and must be accompanied by a copy of the vehicle registration document.
